The

Process

I use the potter's wheel to shape little balls of clay into cylinders. Once the shapes are trimmed and dried to the ideal leather-hard consistency, I hand-paint and carve unique designs into each piece. The decorated pieces are then kiln-fired, coated with food-safe, lead-free glazes, and fired again at 2200°, transforming them into finished stoneware.
